elcome to Splendorous Sojourns. The name was inspired by the many wondrous things I have seen and is a literal reference to taking a temporary journey to a place of beauty.It also describes the guiding principle of my work and my passion for photography in my desire to transform what is simply visual into the more complex and layered realm of the emotional. To produce photographs that effortlessly enable the viewer to connect to the essence of and to be in the place that is before them.
My personal quest to achieve this, is in a sense my own splendorous sojourn as I continue to travel our precious globe to see, to photograph, and to embrace the spectacular beauty around us while furthering my skills and artistry.
It is a pleasure to have you visit and I hope that you will find a sojourn of your own in some of my work as well.

2009 February 20th - Our latest commercial client is Dynaco Food Concepts, Inc. Dynaco is the creator of the Perkos, Cool Hand Lukes, Huckleberry and Yukon Jack's restaurant chains. We're excited and welcome this opportunity to work with them!
2008 November - We're doing a commercial photography project for a local builder. Cal State Builders has been serving the people of Central and Northen California in the construction business since 1977. We're proud to have been selected by them for this project!
2008 October 25th - Our new 2009 Wall Calendar is now available here in three sizes up to 11x14 format! This is our second year working with Zazzle. The quality of the calendars last year were truly top notch and we're confident you will also be pleased.
2008 October 19th - We just got back from the 2008 Smugmug Shootout in Moab, UT. Another great week of meeting up with friends and taking pictures from sunrise to sunset. New pictures are being processed and will be up shortly.
2008 March 15th - We're in Sedona for a week! Our first time shooting here, and we're simply awed and blown away with the beauty this area has to offer.
2008 March 9th - The California Poppies and Wildflowers in the Central Valley have really exploded this year!
2008 January 28th - We just got back from photographing Bald Eagles along the frozen Mississippi River in the Burlington Iowa region. Seeing literally hundreds of birds in one spot was truly a sight to behold and an experience I'll cherish for a long time!

2007 August 24th - We're getting ready for another trip at the end of September. This time it's off to the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks for a 10-day photo excursion. Check back in early October to see what we found!
2007 July 8th - Just posted some new pictures from the Lassen/Crater Lake trip in the Portfolio Gallery!
2007 July 4th - We’re getting ready to make a trip to Northern California and Southern Oregon. On the list of places to visit are Crater Lake National Park, Lassen Volcanic National Park and points in between. Check back in a week or so to see what we were able to see!
2007 May 27th - Just got back from a trip to Florida. Got some nice shot of Ospreys, Alligators, Vultures, Key West and the Everglades.
